Bolga baskets are woven by the indigenous people of Bolgatanga, a town in Northern Ghana. During the dry season the women of Bolgatanga rely on handicraft activities such as basket weaving to supplement their income. The skill is passed on from generation to generation. The distinct colors and patterns of the baskets represent the unique personality of each weaver. | ||
